10-01-2010 Research European Union on Floodproof Urban Areas
FloodProBE started in November 2009 and runs for a period of 4 years. DeltaSync participates in this research project. FloodProBE is supported by the European Commission addressing "Technologies for Improved Safety of the Built Environment in Relation to Flood Events". The project addresses research topics under the Framework Seven programme.
The principal aim of FloodProBE is to provide cost-effective means for flood risk reduction in urban areas. To this end, FloodProBE will develop technologies, methods, concepts and tools for assessment purposes and for the adaptation of new and existing buildings and infrastructure.

01-07-2010 Winner Student competition Harnaschpolder
The entry 'Sustainable Shell' of Loed Stolte has won the competition for floating housing in the Hasnaschpolder. His entry was chosen out of the ten entries that were submitted. The design will be developed and realised by the municipality of Delft.
