17-02-2010 Floating pavilion under construction
The floating foundation for the Rotterdam floating pavilion has been launched. Construction has started last november, at the RDM-campus in Heijplaat. The pavilion is intended as an icon for building on water in Rotterdam. It will be located in the Rijnhaven until 2015 and afterwards will be floated towards another location in the City Ports. The complex is designed by architecture combination DeltaSync/PublicDomain Architecten. It is being constructed by Dura Vermeer and FlexBase is responsible for the floating foundation. The students of the Hogeschool Rotterdam and the Albeda College are participating in the construction process.

01-07-2010 Winner Student competition Harnaschpolder
The entry 'Sustainable Shell' of Loed Stolte has won the competition for floating housing in the Hasnaschpolder. His entry was chosen out of the ten entries that were submitted. The design will be developed and realised by the municipality of Delft.
