In the harbor of Rotterdam a sustainable floating icon project is being realized. Yesterday municipal councillor Bolsius launched the start of constructing the floating pavilion. The building illustrates how future cities can adapt to climate change by implementing flexible design and energy saving. Internationally Rotterdam establishes itself as a pioneer in climate adaptation. This innovative project will serve as a centre for climate adaptation and delta technology and is designed by DeltaSync / Public Domain Architecten. Dura Vermeer has been appointed main contractor.
