20-02-2012 Expo 1.0 geopend in Netherlands WaterCentre

Donderdag 9 februari is in aanwezigheid van topbestuurders uit de Nederlandse Watersector Expo 1.0 geopend in het Drijvend Paviljoen in de Rotterdamse Rijnhaven. NWC Expo 1.0 toont de eerste aanzet van een permanente expositie over de gezamenlijke innovatiekracht van de gehele Nederlandse watersector (Watertechnologie, Deltatechnologie en de Maritieme sector). Deze expositie is een visitekaartje en een etalage waarin de (inter)nationale successen en de mogelijkheden van onze watersector gezamenlijk worden getoond. Aanwezigen, waaronder Jan Bout (kwartiermaker Topsector Water) en Sybe Schaap (voorzitter Netherlands Water Partnership), onderschrijven unaniem het belang om gezamenlijk op te trekken om te laten zien wat de Nederlandse sector te bieden heeft.

Ambitie: expositie en ontmoetingsplek
Het is de ambitie om de NWC Expo 1.0 uit te breiden naar een permanente (wisselende) expo, een etalage, (internationale) ontmoetingsplek en businesscentrum voor de water- , delta- en maritieme technologie en waarvan bezoeken kunnen worden gebracht naar belangrijke innovatieve waterprojecten in Nederland. Kortom een etalage die door de gehele Nederlandse Watersector benut kan worden.
